Update on developments in end of life care

The recent RM Partners palliative care event updated attendees on national, London-wide and STP footprint level developments around end of life care.

The 90-strong audience of providers and commissioners of specialist palliative and end of life care heard encouraging, though challenging, updates from the national end of life care clinical director Professor Bee Wee, and the London end of life care clinical director, Dr Caroline Stirling.

STP-level presentations charted the developments in end of life care in four areas of London – north central, north west, south east and south west. The meeting concluded with a presentation on some innovative work on addressing issues in prescription, access, delivery, administration and disposal of end of life medicines which is currently taking place in City and Hackney CCG.
