National and local resources

  • Cancer Care Map
    This is an online directory that helps people find cancer care and support services in their local area. Use the search function to find services or activities required local to you.
  • Cancer Wellbeing London website.
    This website publicises cancer health and wellbeing information activities and seminars run by the NHS in your area.  There are short videos providing advice on common concerns and there are links to the major cancer charities.
  • Cancer Support UK
    This organisation provides practical and emotional support to people with cancer, during and after the treatment period. Their services are designed and delivered by people who have experienced cancer themselves – to improve the experience of others.There is also an initiative called Cancer Coach. Cancer Coach is there to help people through the next important stage after treatment – resuming life after cancer.  Download a leaflet for more information.
  • Trekstock
    This is a cancer support community for young people in their 20s and 30s who are living with, through and beyond cancer. The cancer charity provides tailored social and practical support.
  • Shine Cancer Support
    This organisation provides support for people in their 20s, 30s and 40s who   have been diagnosed with cancer before, during and after treatment.
  • Fruitfly Collective
    This organisation which has collated and developed different types and styles of information to help children cope when a parent has cancer, or help families talk and learn about cancer.
