New research fellowships available for 2018/19

A new 12-month programme of London-based research fellowships is being launched by the three Cancer Alliances across London for 2018/19. With continued support from the BRCs at RMH/ICR and Imperial, the collaboration will be looking to fund up to 6 research fellows for 2018-19.

The fellowships will be offered to pre-doctoral individuals interested in healthcare improvement, including clinicians, scientists, nurses and allied health professionals (AHP) who wish to obtain further research experience. Funding is available on a full time 12-month basis, but part time fellowships over a longer period will also be considered. The joint fellowship research projects may also lead to the completion of a higher degree.

Initially, potential supervisors are asked to submit project titles and a short brief describing the project. Research projects should ideally take advantage of the large scale sampling of population including the broad socio-economic, cultural, ethnic and genetic variations that London covers. Wherever possible, this should utilise the population covered by the three Cancer Alliances.

We are now calling for potential supervisors for project titles and a short brief describing the project. Please see attached guidance for more details, as well as an attached project proposal template that should be returned by 25 March 2018.
