Five RM Partners organisations have ‘gone live’ with an innovative, real- time system to collect, monitor and analyse cancer patient feedback – Croydon University Hospital, Hillingdon Hospital, Royal Brompton & Harefield, The Royal Marsden and Your Healthcare CIC.
The new patient feedback system, provided by IWant Great Care, will ensure that patients are at the heart of service delivery by enabling them to give direct, publicly available feedback on outcomes and experience. Our partner organisations can then use this to drive further improvements in their cancer services.
Patients will be able to respond offline, online and via tablets if wireless is available. Patient feedback reviews will be published on the IWant Great Care website so that patient experience and outcomes information is transparent to patients and carers, giving reassurance about the standard of care they will be receiving. The feedback will be collected in near real time, ensuring our work is driven by the outcomes that matter most to cancer patients and their families.
RM Partners is working with Great Manchester Cancer Vanguard Innovation to implement the system across a wide range of Cancer Vanguard healthcare partner organisations in west London and in Greater Manchester and East Cheshire. Gathering data across 45 organisations in both London and Manchester will also give a detailed picture of how patient experience varies across different providers. Our aim is to put patient experience on a par with clinical effectiveness.
