Applications open for pan-London research fellowships

We are offering an exciting opportunity for clinical and non-clinical research fellows to undertake a 12-month research project.  The programme has London-based support from Biomedical Research Centres, North Central London Cancer Alliance and South East London Cancer Alliance.

The areas of focus for this year’s Fellowship Programme have been aligned to meet the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan which include:

  1. Early diagnosis,
  2. Cancer inequalities, and
  3. Personalised care of people living with and beyond cancer.

The posts are open to clinical and non-clinical professionals who do not currently hold a PhD or MD including but not limited to nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, health scientists, clinical research practitioners, analysts and other allied health professionals (registered with the relevant professional body).

Fellowship funding includes salary costs for 12 months to support in gathering preliminary data and work on applications for continuation of funding to external funding bodies. Part time fellowships over a longer period will also be considered at discretion of the supervisor.

Following an initial call to potential supervisors which closed on Monday 30 October 2023, 44 projects have been selected.  We will be funding up to four research fellows for this coming year.

The full list of research projects, and details of how to apply, are available below.

Closing date for applications is Monday 18 December 2023.
