Pan London cancer research fellowships available

Exciting opportunities for medical and non-medical research fellows to undertake a research project are available. This has London-based support from biomedical research centres, London-based Cancer Vanguard delivery systems (RM Partners and UCLH Cancer Collaborative), and South East London Accountable Cancer Network (SEL ACN).

The pan-London research strategy focuses on areas of unmet need across the whole patient journey, including five work-streams which map onto the Cancer Vanguard’s overall objectives: early diagnosis, reducing variation, cancer in older people, people living with and beyond cancer, and end of life and palliative care.

The posts are open to medical and non-medical professionals including nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, physiotherapists, health scientists and other allied health professionals.

Fellowship funding includes salary and running costs for 12 months with an aim to gain preliminary data and work on competitive applications to external funding bodies to fund continuation of the project into a higher degree.

Up to 6 research fellows will be funded for this coming year.
