Our Work

We work in partnership to achieve our vision for world class cancer care for the population we serve. To achieve this, we have identified initial priorities that will make the most difference to patient experience and outcomes, and which interventions will be truly transformational and impactful in delivering our vision.

We are currently focusing on supporting cancer services recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic, including helping to identify those people who may have missed a diagnosis of cancer during this time. We are working closely with all of our partners, particularly primary care, to deliver interventions to accelerate identification, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.

We have produced an ambitious strategy for 2021-2025 to achieve our aims. This longer term work programme is focused on diagnosing people earlier and faster and improving survival; reducing unwanted variation and inequalities; optimising care through innovation and improvement; and improving and enhancing experience and quality of life for all those living with and beyond cancer. More information is available here.

Our on-going longer term work programme is focused on improving earlier diagnosis and detection of cancer; reducing unwanted variation through the development and implementation of best practice timed pathways; and improving and enhancing experience and quality of life for all those living with and beyond cancer.
